Graphical view of America’s mental health-care system
August 21, 2016
This 2012 blog article from the Washington Post shows statistics regarding the mental health care system in the US. The article uses the numbers and graphs effectively to highlight the complex issues we are facing in this nation.
The roles of government, insurance, and money for mental health care have been addressed and discussed in public for many years. It’s an important topic, and now I’d like to see a corollary to it, especially from the perspective of consumers—individual responsibility and options, as well as guidelines to access the existing health-care services cost effectively.
